We had an awesome time running a drop in family volunteering day for this year's The Big Help Out. On Saturday 8th June we took over The Tree House in Elephant Park, and ran 5 workshops supporting some important local causes, for kids and their grown ups to get stuck into. And it was great fun!
đ We made 34 bird feeders out of seeds and apples for Roots and Shoots, to help feed and nurture the birds and wildlife in their amazing garden.
đ We wrapped 110 children's books and designed tags for Olive Branch Aid, which will be included in the summer hampers going out to local families who use their services.
𧊠We decorated 36 parcels with lots of bright colours, containing new thermal socks, which will be given to people who are homeless in London.
đș We crafted 22 beautiful paper flowers which will be given to members of Southwark Pensioner's Centre as part of their wellbeing day later in June.
đ We built 25 frames for new bee hives for Bee Urban, which will help nurture and grow the local bee population.
A huge thank you to Mishcon De Reya for supporting our Big Help Out programme again, to Lendlease for kindly giving us the fab venue and to everyone who came along to take part in the day!
