About The Event
Come along to Crowcroft Park Orchard Garden for a hands-on family volunteering session getting the garden ready for the growing season! Together, we'll be planting seasonal vegetables, learning about them and how to care for them, and helping to organise the garden by writing labels and creating signs for each vegetable area.
Schedule for the Morning:
11.00 – 11.15 | Pavilion: Registration and welcome
11.15 – 11.45 | Pavilion: Explanation of the Three Seed Planting Method, plus choosing salad and vegetables to plant
11.45 – 11.55 | Pavilion: Refreshment break
11.55 – 12.30 | Garden: Planting corn and squash in the cold frame, and planting other vegetables in the raised containers
