About The Event
Join us at the wonderful Church Farm, Ardeley and discover the amazing work happening on this vibrant community farm. In this hands-on family volunteering session, children will help enhance the farm environment by creating their own bird feeders to support local wildlife.
During the session, families will make and decorate bird feeders while learning about the benefits of attracting birds to an area, including how feeders can support bird health and boost local populations. Children will also discover different bird species and why they play such an important role in our ecosystem. The session will finish with the exciting moment of placing some of the handmade feeders in the trees around the farm, helping to create a welcoming habitat for visiting birds. A creative, educational, and nature-filled experience that will spark curiosity and deepen children’s connection to the environment.
