Join us at Roots and Shoots for a fun gardening session – seed collecting, herb cuttings, and muddy hands! Families will learn about plant life cycles, take home herb cuttings, and help the garden thrive. Suitable for ages 2 and over (babies in slings welcome!). Free event – booking essential.

About The Event
Join us in the amazing and magical Wild Garden at Roots and Shoots and help us create new plants by collecting seed heads and extracting the seed, and preparing to take herb cuttings. Parents and children work together to help Roots and Shoots' garden thrive, whilst learning about nature and caring for living things.
In August, we will focus on practical gardening tasks like:
Making new plants from plants we already have in the garden (propagating)
Collecting seedheads from plants in the garden, and sorting the seed ready to be sown in Autumn
Washing pots, mixing soil, sieving compost and filling seed trays for taking plant cuttings
Watering and feeding plants to help them grow
