About The Event
Roll up your sleeves and join us for a muddy, fun-filled family volunteering session with Green Squirrel! We'll be making seed bombs – balls of clay and compost packed with wildflower seeds – to help our local bees and butterflies.
Families will work together to create "Seed Bombs" using a mix of peat-free compost and pollinator-friendly seeds – wildflowers, sunflowers, and calendula. This is a tactile, get-your-hands-dirty activity where children help measure, mix, and roll the seed balls.
The seed bombs we make will be dried and then packaged to be sold at the community summer supper, raising vital funds for Green Squirrel's local environmental projects. It's a wonderful way for young children to contribute to a greener Cardiff while having a bit of messy fun in the soil!
The session will include the seed-making activity and finish with a story, snacks, and stickers.
