About The Event
Join us for a seasonal family session at Roots and Shoots as we welcome spring with planting and pond exploration.
Late March is prime growing time, so we will be sowing seeds, potting up young plants, exploring compost heaps, and learning how to mix different soils for different plants. Families will help plant meadow flowers in the garden, adding colour and supporting pollinators for the months ahead.
We will also take a look in the pond to see if the frogs have been busy. If we find fresh frogspawn, we will carefully build a small pond aquarium and safely collect some to observe as they develop into tadpoles. We will finish the session with a story under the oak tree.
