About The Event

Get ready for a buzzing family volunteering session at the Welsh Mountain Zoo! Families will discover the vital role that bees, butterflies, and other pollinators play in our world, before rolling up their sleeves to help create something beautiful.

What families will do:

  • Learn about pollinators – Find out why bees, butterflies, and other insects are so important to our planet

  • Decorate pots – Get creative with colourful designs

  • Pot up seeds – Plant seeds that will grow into a wild flower meadow at the zoo, providing a rich habitat for pollinators

After the volunteering session, families are free to explore the zoo at their own pace. Meet snow leopards, red pandas, meerkats, and many more amazing creatures from around the world. No gardening experience needed – just enthusiasm and a love for nature. All materials will be provided.
