Past Event - Kindness Packs for the Community: A Big Help Out & Big Lunch Event at Hillhead Library

Join us at Hillhead Library to come together as a community to pack food donation bags, decorate them, and add a personal touch with homemade recipe cards. This part of our special programme of events celebrating The Big Lunch and The Big Help Out 2026!

This is a wonderful opportunity for local families to connect and make a real difference for neighbours in need. Together, we will:

• Pack food donation bags, carefully checking labels and expiry dates to ensure every item is safe and suitable.

• Decorate the donation bags with colourful, creative designs, adding a personal touch and a smile.

• Design and write recipe cards to include with each package, turning a food parcel into a thoughtful, home-kitchen gift.

It’s a simple, hands-on way for children to learn about kindness and community action, while helping to build a stronger, more connected neighbourhood.
