Past event - Gardening fun! at the Community Allotment

Roll up your sleeves for a fun-filled afternoon and get stuck in helping us look after the wonderful Community Allotment at North Hertfordshire College. We’ll be doing watering, weeding, taking cuttings and harvesting the crops!

The NHC Community Allotment is designed to encourage local people, especially young people, to become involved in community activity for wider social benefit, engage with the environment through gardening and growing food, and access the well-researched physical and mental health benefits of gardening.

Bring a long a tupperware box, in the case there is enough veg that you can take something home!

Useful info:

- This session is taking place outdoors and hand wash and sanitizer will be available. You are kindly asked not to attend if you or any of your household are displaying symptoms of coronavirus.

- The session is most suitable for ages 2+ but babes in slings / buggies are welcome too.

- Spaces are free, though spaces are limited. Please book in advance.

- When booking please select one space per person (whether adult or child) with a maximum of 2 children per adult.

- Equipment will be provided, but please wear clothes suitable for getting dirty, and please dress for the weather.

- This session is part of our Stevenage pilot programme, kindly supported by Stevenage Community Trust.
