About The Event

Roll up your sleeves and join us for a fun-filled morning of gardening tasks to help maintain the beautiful garden at St John’s Waterloo. We will be planting lots of bulbs which will flower next year, helping nurture the local wildlife. We will be doing a big autumn leaf sweep to tidy the garden, then very carefully we will be removing some of the blanket weed that has built up in the pond, to help the local frogs and other pond life thrive.


St John’s churchyard garden welcomes hundreds of people a day including local residents, dog walkers, students and office workers taking lunch breaks, commuters going to and from Waterloo Station and passers-by who step in from the street to find themselves in an unexpected oasis of calm. It’s also a place where homeless people spend time, where students with special needs learn horticulture skills and during the annual…
