About The Event
Join us with the kids as we jingle all the way to Waterloo Station to help raise vital funds for the Waterloo Foodbank at their Carolathon! For 12 hrs people will be singing to raise money for the work of this important charity, and the Family Volunteering Club will be participating from 4.30pm - 5pm.
No previous singing experience necessary - we will be singing as one big group accompanied by musicians a range of fun festive tunes! Christmassy attire encouraged but not essential! All ages welcome - and spread the word, the more the merrier. We will be singing under the big Christmas Tree inside the station.
About the Waterloo Foodbank:
The Foodbank exists to ensure that no one in Waterloo goes hungry. For people on low incomes, a sudden crisis – redundancy, benefit delay, illness or even an unexpected bill – can mean going hungry. Every day parents skip meals to feed their children and people are forced to choose between paying the rent or eating. Since their launch at the end of 2011 they've given away over 125 tonnes of food to almost 15,000 people in need, including almost 7,000 local children.
