Why do the fences need painting? Over time, weather and wear leave the wood looking tired and less protected. A fresh coat of paint not only makes the garden look brighter and more welcoming – it also helps preserve the wood, keeping the orchard safe and beautiful for years to come. Children must paint alongside their parent or carer. This is a great opportunity for families to work as a team, learn a simple practical skill, and see the instant impact of their effort.
What you need to know:
All painting equipment (paint, brushes, trays) will be provided.
Please wear appropriate old clothes and sturdy shoes – we cannot guarantee you will stay clean.
Gloves and protective covers may be available, but dress for mess.
