May Day Celebration at Bellavista Nursing Home

Join us for a vibrant May Day celebration at Bella Vista Nursing Home! Families and residents will come together to mark the arrival of spring through a morning of traditional festivities and collaborative art.

In this session, children and their grown‑ups will sit alongside the residents to create May Day flower crowns and May Day baskets. Using a variety of materials, fresh spring greenery, and colourful blooms, we will craft together while sharing stories of May Day traditions from across the generations.

The focus of this visit is on active connection. Whether it’s helping a resident weave a ribbon or simply chatting about the changing seasons, your presence helps bridge the gap between generations, reducing social isolation and bringing the spirit of the outdoors inside. We’ll finish our celebration with some light refreshments and a May Day story.
