About The Event
Join us at Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park as we take part in the Great British Spring Clean, the nation’s largest mass action environmental campaign. Each year, hundreds of thousands of volunteers come together to clear litter from streets, parks, and beaches across the country. Roll up your sleeves and help us give this much loved green space a spring refresh. We will provide litter pickers, gloves, and bags as we enjoy some fresh air and work together to tidy the park and protect local wildlife.
About Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park
Opened in 1934, the park was gifted by Viscount Rothermere in memory of his mother to support the families of Southwark. Today, it surrounds the Imperial War Museum and remains an important community space with a rich local history.
