Bailey Park Litter Pick and Scavenger Hunt

Join us for a fun and educational family session in partnership with Keep Abergavenny Tidy as we help care for our beautiful town. We will begin the morning by learning about the fantastic work local volunteers do to keep Abergavenny looking its best. Children will then explore different types of litter such as plastic bottles, glass jars, and crisp packets, all clean and washed. Using litter pickers, we will place each item on a giant timeline map to discover how long different materials take to break down once thrown away.

Next, we will head out into Bailey Park for a scavenger hunt with a difference. Families will search for different types of litter, sort recycling from rubbish, and tick off items as we go. After our outdoor adventure, we will return to the Guide Hall for a well earned snack and a story.
