Autumn Litter Picking Scavenger Hunt with Keep Abergavenny Tidy

Wrap up warm and join us for a crisp autumn morning of litter picking and discovery at Bailey Park!

We will start by discovering the amazing work local volunteers do to keep our town looking fantastic, then get hands-on exploring different types of litter such as plastic bottles, glass jars and crisp packets (all clean and washed). Together, we will place each item on a giant timeline map using the pickers to find out how long they take to break down once thrown away.

As we head out around Bailey Park – crunching through the autumn leaves and enjoying the beautiful seasonal colours – we will complete our scavenger hunt by searching for different kinds of litter, sorting recycling from rubbish and checking off items as we go. After our adventure, we will return to the Guide Hall for a well-earned autumn snack and a story.
