Join us at Brixton Windmill to help the garden grow! Families will plant bulbs, flowers, and fruit bushes, and tend the herb bed at this much-loved local landmark. A lovely outdoor session for all ages.

About The Event
Join us in the Wild Garden at Roots and Shoots for a range of autumnal activities to support wildlife and prepare the garden for winter and next year. Parents and children work together to help Roots and Shoots' garden thrive, whilst learning about nature and caring for living things.
In October, we will focus on practical gardening tasks like:
Making new plants from plants we already have in the garden (propagating)
Collecting fallen leaves and making healthy compost from garden waste
Washing pots, mixing soil, sieving compost and filling seed trays for taking plant cuttings
Watering and feeding plants to help them grow now the summer heat is over
