About The Event
Join us in the Wild Garden at Roots and Shoots for a range of late autumn activities to support wildlife and prepare the garden for winter and next year. Parents and children work together to help Roots and Shoots' garden thrive, whilst learning about nature and caring for living things.
In November, we will focus on practical tasks like:
Planting bulbs like tulips, crocus and daffodils which flower in spring across the gardens
Making apple and pine cone bird feeders to support our birds as the garden quietens for winter
Collecting fallen leaves and making healthy compost from garden waste
Harvesting ripe Medlar fruit
