About The Event
Join us at Gwrych Castle for a truly unique family volunteering session celebrating The Big Help Out and The Big Lunch! Families are invited to a hands-on volunteering experience where they'll craft balloon swords, build hobby horses from swim noodles, and design medieval-style jewellery, crowns, and headbands. After the creative workshops, everyone will come together to help prepare simple, authentic medieval-style banquet food to share with fellow castle visitors.
It’s a wonderful way for families to contribute, get creative, and be part of a unique castle experience – while celebrating community, friendship, and the joy of volunteering.
Age Suitability: Perfect for children aged 3 plus. Younger children can enjoy the sensory crafts and dressing up, while older children can take on more detailed making and food preparation. Babies in prams or slings are very welcome.
