Fruit Picking Fun in the Kitchen Garden at Church Farm Ardeley!

Church Farm Ardeley's kitchen garden is bursting with delicious summer fruits, and children will have the chance to enjoy the excitement of picking their own red and blackcurrants straight from the bushes! Alongside harvesting fresh fruit, we'll be digging up potatoes and sowing dwarf French bean seeds in pots, giving little gardeners a fun hands-on experience of growing and gathering food. It is a wonderful seasonal activity at this fantastic not-for-profit community farm – a chance for families to volunteer together, learn where food comes from, and enjoy the simple pleasure of being outdoors.

What families will do:

• Pick red and blackcurrants straight from the bushes

• Dig up freshly grown potatoes

• Sow dwarf French bean seeds in pots to take home or leave for the farm

• Learn about seasonal growing and where food comes from
