Crunch for Kindness: Recycled Crisp Packet Mat Making

Join us for a creative and meaningful family volunteering session in partnership with Mirus. Children and grown‑ups will work together to help create mats from recycled crisp packets, which will be given to people experiencing homelessness in Cardiff. Families will also make colourful artwork, write kind messages, and create friendship bracelets to include with the mats.

This session helps children learn about kindness, community, and caring for others in a practical, age‑appropriate way. As always, we will begin with a song and finish with a story, snacks, and stickers.

The volunteering impact:

Your family's recycled crisp packets become a warm, waterproof sleeping mat for someone sleeping rough. The artwork and kind messages add a personal touch – a reminder that someone in the community cares. It's a small act with a huge ripple effect.
